Well, I just finished up the CDPE course today and sent in my final exam. I have to say I’ve learned more about how Short Sales are processed in the last few weeks then I learned over the past couple of years. Not also do I now understand exactly what lenders are looking for when processing Short Sales, but I also have a network of 8,000 other Short Sale expert Realtors who are sharing there experience through the CDPE blog. The bottom-line is that if you are struggling with a mortgage that you can't afford or you are totally upside down on your home there is hope. Over the last 8 years Ashburn, Brambleton, Leesburg and Purcellville areas have exploded in growth and price! The last economic conference I attended which was given by Dr.Fuller stated that the Loudoun and Fairfax areas are at April 2004 home prices. That’s a lot of upside down homeowners! There is a silver lining in this housing mess and its doesn’t have to mean the destruction of your credit. Myth No. 4: Homebuyers aren't interested in short sales.
Myth No. 5: Homeowners don't want to list their homes as short sales because of embarrassment.
Myth No. 6: Banks would rather foreclose than handle a short sale.
Myth No. 7: There isn't enough time to negotiate a short sale before foreclosure.
