Hi Joe, I'm not sure I see a bubble. I see an over reaction and a correction. The Loudoun and Fairfax( leesburg, Reston, Centreville,Ashburn, Fall Church etc..)counties have always been strong areas for housing. I think a lot of that has to do with our strong jobs growth and low unemployment. I believe both Loudoun and Fairfax Counties have some of the highest household incomes in the country. My sense is that the lenders are still not loosing up there lending standards. For the most part you need really good credit history to get a loan now a days. Unlike the last time around were all you had to do was prove you were could fog up a mirror. These tight lending standards should keep a lot of the nonsense out of the market. Thank you for reading Joe!
Take care,
Chuck

Great, here comes another housing bubble, hopeful first time buyers like myself are getting priced out of the market because retail investors can outbid me then rent the property to me for more than their mortgage. Things suck for anyone born after 1982.

HI Joe, Yes there are high power electric line that cut through some parts of Ashburn. If this is something that is of concern to you make sure to ask your Realtor for a map of where the lines run. I can't really comment too much about what these power line do or don't due in terms of health or value of your property. I can say however, if you find something objectionable ( ie power lines, parking, road noise etc..) the person who is going to buy your home might also find it objectionable. This is why it is really important to hire a local Realtor that knows the area you are interested in.

Take care,
Chuck
